I want to thank you and your staff for the beautiful cake you created for my fathers birthday. It was delicious too. My family was really impressed...my family is a tough group to please... we are all foodies. I also stopped by the morning of the event to buy some of your candies as party favors. Your staff was so helpful in offering to individually bag the candies and tie them with a ribbon. The candies were wonderful too. Also loved the ginger peach scone for breakfast...yum. ~ Virginia

Oh MY-LANTA!! You REALLY out did yourself on that cake girl!!! EVERYONE was talking about it AND taking pictures. At first I was a bit concerned b/c everyone stop complimenting me and my dress, LOL!! The problem with Sarah is that it's so good. I've been scouring Chicago for months trying to find an alternative for at least some of my needs, with no success. A seasonal lunch menu covering all the bases and more -from healthy salads and fruits to luxurious and gastronomical duck confit sandwiches; breakfast and four o'clock tea items without match; the best presents available in town and the one stop for emergency cakes for birthday parties and the like; Sarah's is already more than anyone could expect it to be. Nevertheless, what keeps me coming back to Sarah's is not just the only dog treats that were able to tame my then- girlfriend's ferocious dog, helping me win her affection enough for her to accept to be my wife -with a wedding cake coming from, you guessed it, Sarah's- but rather, it is the its people. One can keep coming back every day to the shop and have a delightful time with colourful staff members that quickly become like friends, yet never have to lower one's utmost expectations of the quality of service. This consistency combines with Sarah's entrepreneurial and adventurous spirit to ensure that coming back every day, furthermore, never gets boring. On top of being without question the best pastry and coffee shop in town, Sarah's is also an impressive business model for our times. ~ Francois Blumenfeld

Hi Sarah, I ordered a gift for my grandmother last week and I just wanted to email and let you know that she has been raving about it. She has called me twice to tell me that she cannot stop eating the chocolates; and trust me... this 94 year old knows her chocolate. Also, the customer service is fabulous.
